These are low-key, non-competitive sessions where participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic rules of pickleball while getting comfortable hitting the ball in various situations.There will be equipment available to borrow for those who need it. Each session is two Tuesdays in a row. Session 1, 2 and 3 are the same Learn to Play class. Spring Skateboarding with Let's Skate!Our 2024 Spring Series is designed for skateboarders of all levels from beginners to seasoned riders. Now offering 2 levels, skateboarders will be able to sign up for either level 1 or level 2 based off of skill and age.  Level 1: Ages 7-12, 4:30-5:30 PMFor children who are new to skateboarding and have little to no prior experience. Level 1 will focus on foundational aspects such as stance, pushing, turning, and other introductory skateboarding techniques. Level 2: Ages 9-14, 5:45-6:45 PMFor children who can ride a skateboard independently. Itty Bitty Swim Time - Sensory-Friendly EnvironmentA special swim time for infants and toddlers, 4 years and younger and a parent/guardian, to experience, play and work on water acclimation in the 3-foot training pool at Simsbury Farms.This special session is held before the Simsbury Farms pool facility opens for public swimming, making it a good time for those who would benefit from a sensory-friendly environment. Some pool toys and noodles will be available and clean pool toys can be brought from home.Adult (16 years of age or older) supervision is required and must be in the water with the child.  Lifeguards will be on duty.  No siblings or children over 4 are allowed during this time.   Saturdays   June 8-August 24     11:00-Noon            4 years old and younger    $2.00 per child or season passes are acceptedSpace is limited to 20 children per week.  Pre-registration not required, it is available on first come, first served basis

CAMP STUFF-TA-DOO 2024Online registration will begin at 6:00am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.  Non-resident registration for this program will begin on Monday, January 29 at 6:00am.Please make sure your log in and student's grade is correct before Friday, 1/12, to ensure you can register.What is Camp Stuff-Ta-Doo?  Camp Stuff-Ta-Doo is a day camp designed for children who will be entering grades 1-6 in the fall of 2024.  Campers are grouped by grade and enjoy fun-filled days swimming, playing games, doing arts and crafts, and taking part in all kinds of silly contests.  Each week there is always a special event at camp, it could an inflatable water slide, a concert or even a foam dance party!   Our staff, made primarily up of college students, keep up the fun and energy all day long while making sure everyone stays safe.  This program is one of the longest running town programs and many children come back year after year!Daily Swimming at Camp Stuff-Ta-Doo:  Weather permitting, campers will have the opportunity to go the Memorial Park Pool for a "free swim period".  On the first day of each session, every camper participates in a swim test.  Those that are unable to swim the length of the pool are limited to the shallow end of the pool for the remainder of the session.  We use a wristband system, a lane line "border" and lifeguard supervision to ensure that weaker swimmers are limited to the shallow end of the pool.  These swimmers also have access to the wading pool and spray fountain at the Memorial Pool complex.Extended day swim lessons:  You can sign your child up to take a swim lesson at the end of the camp day this year.  The 3:15pm lessons are only open to campers who are in camp the same week as the lesson. (Session 2 camp and Session 2 swim lesson for example) There is a limit of 30 kids in the extended day swim lesson program, so don't wait to sign up if you would like your camper to take part! Racquets for Life is coming to Simsbury Farms! These junior clinics will include tennis instruction for 8-13 year olds. The clinic will include a light warmup, skills drills to work on the basics of the games, drills for stroke repetition and live ball play. Players will be broken into groups based on level of play.Participants should bring a tennis racquet and pickleball racquet if they have it (some loaners will be available), water bottles, a towel, sunscreen/hat/sunglasses and a snack. Demo racquets for tennis and pickleball will be available. Racquets for Life is coming to Simsbury Farms! These Mini Junior Tennis Clinics are for players aged 5-7 years. Clinics will teach the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and positive manner.Participants should wear sneakers. Racquets will be available to borrow for those players who do not have their own. Parents should stay within earshot of the program.Clinic Schedule:Monday - Thursday, 3:35-4:30 PM(Friday of each week will be reserved as a rain date if needed)

Learn the fundamentals at this NON-CONTACT Football Camp! Our camp is designed to accomplish three goals:  HAVE FUN Provide each camper with safe drills and games that will be instructional but designed to be high energy with the "fun factor" as the objective.  Smiles are required at camp!   PROMOTE AND INTRODUCE FOOTBALL - HOW THE GAME HAS BECOME SAFER What a great way to learn the game as a beginner!  We have designed camp to provide a safe introduction to the game for first timers.  Our hope is to promote the advancements in safety for the game of football and encourage participation on a team.  It's never been safer to play! BECOME A BETTER FOOTBALL PLAYER AND ATHLETE Our camp curriculum will allow players of all ages and experience levels to develop skills needed to advance their skill set.  Campers will receive expert instruction on football fundamentals, skills, and techniques. Campers will engage individual and group drills allowing each of them the opportunity to transfer individual skills taught in the camp to game-play experiences. All the key fundamentals needed to become a better football player will be emphasized.  Skills that are taught:-Running-Passing-Catching-Blocking-Strength/Speed Dev.-KickingCamp Staff:SHS Football Staff and varsity players Equipment:This is a non-contact camp so the only equipment needed will be cleats or sneakers and a personal water bottle.  Gatorade and water will be provided. *Friday 6/21 will be a rain date Refund Policy?  Please click here to read our refund/transfer policy.
