Parks and Open Space Master Plan Information Meeting – October 29, 2019

The Simsbury Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department will host a public information meeting on its Parks and Open Space Master Plan on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Tariffville Room of the Simsbury Public Library.  Please join us as the team presents its initial findings, field observations, and survey results obtained through the planning process.  We want your feedback and input!

The Master Plan will guide policy development and generate a strategic action plan for the Town’s parks and open space.  The consultants hosted focus groups, stakeholder meetings, staff meetings, and a public input session to gather information.  In addition, a comprehensive survey was released online to allow all stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations for the future of parks and open space facilities. The results of this public input will be used to determine the need for recreation, facility, and open space improvements across Town.  Please join us to hear what we have learned, and how we plan to move the Parks and Open Space Master Plan forward to meet the unique needs of our community.
