Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation is offering Learn to Play Pickleball sessions for beginners who are curious to see what the fastest growing sport in America is all about. These are low-key, non-competitive sessions where participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic rules of pickleball while getting comfortable hitting the ball in various situations.There will be equipment available to borrow for those who need it. Pickleball: Learn to Play, Beginner - Session 2: Afternoon, Beginner
Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation is offering Learn to Play Pickleball sessions for beginners who are curious to see what the fastest growing sport in America is all about. These are low-key, non-competitive sessions where participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic rules of pickleball while getting comfortable hitting the ball in various situations.There will be equipment available to borrow for those who need it. Each session is two Tuesdays in a row. Session 1, 2 and 3 are the same Learn to Play class. Please only sign up for one session. Each session will provide you the basics so you will be able to play recreational pickleball. Pickleball: Advanced Beginner - Session 2: Evening, Advanced Beginner
Did you take our Learn to Play Class last year? Looking for more advanced skills? Take our NEW Advanced Beginner Pickleball Class! This class will focus on positioning on the court. We will practice dinking, lobbing and the third shot drop. The class will also teach strategies for when to use each type of shot. Players should be familiar with the basic rules and skills of pickleball. Each session is two Tuesdays in a row. Each session is the same 2 classes, it is not a progressive series.Session 1: 4/23 and 4/30, 1 PMSession 2: 5/14 and 5/21, 6:30 PMSession 3: 6/4 and 6/11, 1 PMNew to pickleball? Spring Skateboarding - Level 1
Spring Skateboarding with Let's Skate!Our 2024 Spring Series is designed for skateboarders of all levels from beginners to seasoned riders. Now offering 2 levels, skateboarders will be able to sign up for either level 1 or level 2 based off of skill and age. Level 1: Ages 7-12, 4:30-5:30 PMFor children who are new to skateboarding and have little to no prior experience. Level 1 will focus on foundational aspects such as stance, pushing, turning, and other introductory skateboarding techniques. Level 2: Ages 9-14, 5:45-6:45 PMFor children who can ride a skateboard independently. Level 2 will explore advanced skills such as dropping in, popping ollies & shuv-its, as well as various other skateboarding tricks.* Please note there is no class on 5/23, the last class will be on 6/6.Not sure which level is the best fit?
