Evening Camp - for boys and girls entering grades 8 – Post Grad (in Fall 2016)

Lenny Rich Elite Basketball Training will be run by Lenny Rich Training founder Brad Seaman and Simsbury Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Sam Zullo.  Brad uses techniques that challenge the body and mind to take players outside of their comfort zone.  The workouts will push players to their limits to breakthrough on improving skills that they may not have even worked on before.   Each night of camp include skill workouts, physical workouts and situational small group play.  The focus of this week is to teach kids how to work hard and push themselves outside of their comfort level.  Only players that are serious about wanting to compete at the varsity level and beyond should attend!

About Lenny Rich Training Workouts:

Expectations

During our workouts players are expected to leave all judgment and negative energy at the door. We work together in a creative and challenging setting. All players from point guards to centers will be pushed outside of their comfort zones and will turn their weaknesses into strengths.

Unexpected Situations

Our goal is train our players while certain target body parts are fatigued. It's much easier to make shots during warm-ups, but we strive to prepare our players to be efficient and able to execute when it matters most.

Making Learning Fun

We are all students of the game. The basketball court is our classroom. All of our workouts create an atmosphere very similar to how teachers use their classrooms. We provide an atmosphere that is challenging, yet fun to work out in. We encourage our players to feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them. We work together in a judgment-free environment, striving to improve during every workout. All players receive positive reinforcement from our staff, and players will help push each other to achieve their goals.

About situational small group play:

Situational small group play first teaches players HOW to play properly in certain team/game situations and then forces players to compete live in the same situations.  Players are held strictly accountable in the live situations to making the right decisions following through with each concept that is taught.
