Smart Cycling/Traffic Skills 101 - Bicycling Skills for the Road and
Multi-Use Trail

Location: Mitchell Dodge, 416 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury (lower level)

Tues., June 19 and Wed., June 20, 2018, 4 - 8 pm

Through classroom instruction, on-bike drills, and a group ride, this 8 hour class will help riders develop the knowledge and confidence to ride safely and legally on roads and multi-use trails. Topics to be covered include bicycle safety check, starting, stopping, shifting, scanning, proper lane/intersection positioning, crash avoidance techniques, and fixing a flat.  Completion of this class is a prerequisite for other cycling courses including the certification course for League Cycling Instructors.  The class is taught by certified League Cycling Instructors and generously sponsored by Mitchell Auto Group.  Participants must bring their own bikes and helmets.  Ages 15 and up.
